Into the V45

Add a comment! I was working away last week and couldn’t do the Bridge Inn 5k.
And I’ve had a significant birthday, so next time I run in a race I’ll be a young V45. One might think that this means I will place better and maybe even have a better chance of winning, but there are some fast runners in the V45, so I’m not sure it’s going to make a lot of difference.
But on the upside I think I’m back to running again. I don’t have any injuries to stop me, and I feel pretty healthy (although I have a sore throat today). Last week while I was working very long hours, I managed to squeeze in about 17k of runs which is more than I’ve done in a week for a long long time.
Also, with Chris Elson’s “intermediate” speed sessions up at Coombe Dingle, I think (fingers crossed) that I might be set for a period of improvement this winter. But in the life of a middle-aged man, nothing is certain …
