Add a comment! While running yesterday along the Cycle Track near Easton I was so concerned of my ankle that something weird happened. I kept focusing on my ankle (thankfully there was no pain), but it wasn’t a general “how’s my ankle? Yeah it’s fine” it was more like a I was feeling the mechanics of my body moving, before my focus shifted.
I thought about the movement of my whole leg, then the other leg, then my mind drifted off to what I was going to have for dinner. The a few minutes later I did the same with the other leg, went though the whole mechanics, as if I was feeling every movement that my muscles and tendons were making. It was weird, good running form is important and yesterday’s ability to focus so well made me work hard on form.
I probably won’t be able to do it again.
Am I going mental? Yes.
