Bristol 10k results 2011 and round up

The results are now online on the RunBristol website. That’s pretty good going. You can search by age, name, number and club.

Also, they’ve put the top results here.

Finally, if you are looking for more pictures (in addition to our own here) try this Flickr search, which will find any Bristol 10k photos from this event only.

Our local club Bristol & West AC managed to get 13 runners in the top 100, and that includes Claire Hallisey - 2nd in the womens’ race. No doubt B&W AC will publish they’re own thoughts on the race on their blog before long.

More half marathon pictures etc

I’ve just uploaded a heap of pictures in this gallery. I tried to focus on elites, early finishers, and local runners, plus a smattering of photogenic and awe-inspiring heroes and heroines.

Apologies for the quality, but I’m not a professional. If you are in any of these pictures and would like a high quality version, then please get in touch and I’ll send you one.

Well done Claire Hallisey of Bristol & West AC for winning the women’s race! It must have been great to see her cross the line. I’m sorry I missed that moment.

Claire Hallisey in the final few hundred metres of her winning raceI think it would be good to hear a few comments on the race, so please add something to the discussion: What were your highs, your lows, and how well do you think it was organised? Seems the goody bags went down well!

On the web at the moment, you can find a brief report on Bristol24-7. If you are a twitter follower, you can see what everyone is tweeting about the race, and if you want to see more pictures a search on Flickr like this might reveal a great picture of you.

Finally, of course, the half marathon results will be here, on the Bristol Half Marathon website.

Well done everyone! It was a great Bristol day.

One of the thousands of heroes; happy, but so deranged he stuck the wrong finger up!
