Bristol Half Marathon - 6 Weeks to go.

We I’ve finally done it.  I’ve entered the Bristol Half Marathon.  I started a training plan about 5 weeks ago and after a dodgy few months of injury I’m finally happy where I am in terms of running.  Distances are increasing and speed it alright (I’m not going to break the sound barrier any time soon) and I’m happy about this.

This will be my first half marathon and I’m looking forward to, but I’m also slightly terrified.  13.1 miles isn’t just a little run around the block.  I’m going to trust in my training and hope that the temperature on the day isn’t anything like it has been during the last few days.

Good luck! I ran the Bath half a couple of years ago and haven't managed to get another one done since then. Nerve-wracking distance but it all turned out ok, very glad for all those long runs at the weekend =]

Get at least a couple of ten milers under your belt, surprising how the next three feels even then; but good luck on the day, and enjoy!

I have learned to hate half marathons they are 3 miles to far for my liking, but try it. BHM is a good event, but leave your energy for when you are back in the city (esp if it is hot). Good luck Ben
