What a New Year

Since my last blog I did manage to do the planned 5 x 1 mile efforts although these have been long forgotten as just 1 hour after I got home I was getting Harry collected by my In-laws so that I could take Emma to hospital.

I went out at 12:30 just after cooking Emma and Harry their lunch, Emma was feeling ok at the time, soi I took the opportunity, I got home within the hour and although Emma was feeling ok she was feeling tired, so I had lunch and started to read the paper. The time was now 2pm. Emma started to get some pains that got worse on each occurrence. When Harry got collected I took Emma to Southmead (New Years Day the traffic was virtually nil). We got there about 16:15. By 17:40 our baby daughter, Amber, was born weighing in at 8lb 2.

Funnily enough all thoughts af training have been forgotten, although with Harry back at Nursery tomorrow I may try and wangle a 6 miler, but we shall see.

Congratulations to all of you! Have you got a training schedule worked out for Amber yet?
