Just been out on my longest run so far - eight miles. Went up to the Downs and round, and only four minutes slower than my seven mile run last week! Still slower than I’d like, but doing ok at about 6:40 mins per km pace.
Have also done two runs in the gym this week to escape the rain - three miles each, one slow, one race pace. And another one planned for tomorrow! Quite hard work… definitely harder work than when I trained for my last half marathon as a second year English student with no work to do and hours and hours to play with every day. Now it’s home from work, out for a run, eat, shower, crash. I’m just about managing to fit in a life around it but will be glad when it’s over and I can chill out a bit!
