Bridge Inn 5k - No thanks
Phil |
Add a comment! Well, given my exploits on Sunday, my calfs still weren’t feeling great, so for once I listened to advice and decided to give tonights race a miss, its a shame because I do enjoy the Bridge Inn. I still look forward to seeing the results.
I did however go for a run around the BAWA field, just a comfortable 3 miles, quickening my pace at each mile. Still very hot though in the lunch time heat. My calfs hurt a little after, so I tried a pair of compression socks, I know your are meant to run with them but to aid recovery they can’t do harm, and they didn’t I can now walk without feeling like the rusty chainsaw is back.
Tomorrow is a pre race rest day, in honour of the Thornbury Carnival 10k. I am so looking forward to this one, it my local race and all. And I am desperate to lay some skeletons to rest at this one. I pulled out of last years race at 6k, a fact that keeps me going and pushing in every race now. So bring on Thursday, just hope it cools a little before hand.
