Partly through tiredness and work priorities I have only trained once this week that was Tuesday evenings squad training, I am the first to admit that my Tuesday sessions are never too good I haven’t got my level right, but this week was different, not sure why, probably my legs were knackered from Sunday. This didn’t stop me pushing myself to keep up with the front runners, alright I didn’t keep up with them but a was far closure to them than I have ever been before. I came out of the session very proud of my efforts.
The rest of the week has gone to pot though, although I did go to the physio and got her to work on my left ankle, which turned out to be a very painful experience, with my spine being re-aligned golf ball knots in my calfs being smoothed out. I have been hurting ever since and am looking forward to run tomorrow now that my muscles have recovered.
I now have a double header next Sunday (22nd) I am running the DB Max 10k in the morning followed by the Mike Scully X Country Mob Match in the afternoon. Its going to be painful and its going to be great.
