Add a comment! Ill in bed today and so lots of time for surfing and faffing with the site:
- The campaign to rule the world I’ve finally embarked on my more concerted effort to get links to the site. I started e-mailing clubs and shops in a systematic manner, in order to ask for link backs to here. Every club and shop I’ve listed in Bristol will get asked.
I’d like to thank Bitton Road Runners for giving me a link after less than 24 hrs. They have one of the better websites and a good races listing which goes further afield than mine.
They are now part of my select group of referrers along with Bristol & West AC and Town & Country Harriers.
- More on my 10k crusade Following a text from my older sister in Stockport who has been running gently for a year or so, announcing that she has entered the Manchester 10k, I’ve signed up to join her. 33,000 runners! That’ll be a big one and very exciting I imagine.
This will follow just 7 days after I do the Bristol 10k. I did only one 10k race last year and want to makes some improvements in this department. Who knows how I will get on, given I’ve not run for over six weeks and am currently not likely to for another one.
- Take to the Streets I stumbled upon this site today. I like the general thrust of it - let’s get people out there - running or cycling.
So, I signed up to get a closer look and I thought it was pretty good. You get personalised training plans, and all that associated stuff. If you are new to running then this could be a good start. The training plans are really clearly presented and easy to follow and you can get e-mail reminders for what you’ve got to do next etc. Here is a rubbish screen shot:
It’s all pretty slick.
Well, that’s it. I’ve spent far too much time on idle diversions today.
