Races near Bristol
There are loads of races out there, and if you surf around you will find them, but what a pain!
Here’s a simple list of local races coming up in the near future. I normally include anything within about 30 miles. So, if you fancy a little something for the weekend, this is the place to look.

1st of 5 races. Under the suspension bridge and along the river. Normally booked well in advance.

1, 5 and 10k runs, flatish, around the lower village.

Rolling fields, hidden valleys, footpaths, woodland tracks, over styles and the odd river or two.

In the Forest of Dean. Dogs allowed.

Largely flat and run on quiet, pleasant country lanes.

Two lap race, fast and flat. 1st in a series of 4.

One of a series of 4 races through the summer. Great fun and very friendly.

Run on the cycle track from Bitton railway station.

5 mile run (race 9 of 9).

The Rainbow Run is the UK’s first ever 5K where you’ll get showered with different coloured powder paints. This crazy fun run takes place on The Downs in Bristol on Sunday 19th May 2013 at 1pm.
