Races near Bristol
There are loads of races out there, and if you surf around you will find them, but what a pain!
Here’s a simple list of local races coming up in the near future. I normally include anything within about 30 miles. So, if you fancy a little something for the weekend, this is the place to look.

EVERY SATURDAY. Ashton Court: The Ashton Court 5k Parkrun.

A mostly flat course with over 600 runners.

A hilly circuit on closed roads through beautiful countryside plus great home made cakes and enthusiastic public support.

Undulating. Free beer for the first 100.

1st of 5 races. Under the suspension bridge and along the river. Normally booked well in advance.

Two lap race, fast and flat. 1st in a series of 4.

Run on the cycle track from Bitton railway station.

An open event with track running for faster types.

Rolling fields, hidden valleys, footpaths, woodland tracks, over styles and the odd river or two.

Should be a good one! Now getting up to 10,000 entries.

Hard to discern from this annoying website, but a 33 mile, a half marathon, and a 5k, I think.

One of a series of 4 races through the summer. Great fun and very friendly.

Last in a series of 9 evening runs.

In country park, along river and canal.

A well organised race over undulating terrain - up to 800 runners.

2 laps on river bank and in woods.

A Runners' World event. "Wide, firm, and fast-flowing trails", apparently.

No medals but a cake for every finisher - yippee!

A new venture on a testing hilly off-road course in the beautiful Tyntesfield estate.
