Discussion > Running Research Volunteers Needed!

Hi All

I'm currently recruiting for a study which will form part of my PhD in running biomechanics at Bath University.

I'm looking for recreational distance runners aged 18+ who run for more than 3 hours per week. Runners will be required to fill in an online training diary on a daily basis for a 12 month period with details of the duration of their training sessions, along with basic information on any injuries incurred during the period of the study. There is no requirement to run particular speeds/distances or to change your training in any way. All training data entered will be fully available to view and save to your own PC at any time.

I hope that the results of this study will help runners, coaches and sports practitioners to identify and address key training-related risk factors for running injuries.

If you, or someone you know, are interested in finding out more about the study, please contact me - j.perkins at bath.ac.uk for an information sheet.

Best wishes

Jenny

Hi Jenny. Thanks for posting.

Just wanted to let you know I've sent a link out to our 400+ Twitter followers. I hope you get some response.

I would volunteer myself, but I'm afraid I don't do the weekly distance you need.
